The purpose of health research is to improve healthcare. We believe people should take part in the research process since the very beginning. This is what makes us different:
we involve the community
This is how we do it
We are organized in SPecial INterest (SPIN) groups, which are centered in a specific subject (e.g. a disease or condition). These groups are made up by our members: scientists and non-scientists. Their purpose is to yield ideas and create research projects.
Our Multidisciplinary Research Teams (MRT) include expert researchers whose goal is to carry out the research projects, by working together with the SPIN groups.
Comprehensive research
We created topic-specific or disease-centered working groups where EVERYONE can participate—scientists and non-scientists—.
These groups nurture the health research process while they involve and implicate the community. This way we also help to educate and show the importance of health research to the people.
